Cédric Ezan (Tchinan) was born in 1994 in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) where he lives and works today. Graduated from the Lycée d'Enseignement Artistique de Cocody, he continued his training at the School of Fine Arts in Abidjan. He comes out of the 2020 promotion. The Artist has always been fascinated by the moving world and the interactions between human beings. In doing so, he translates into his work his perception of this dynamic, of the relationships between beings and his personal relationship with them. For the Artist, the line represents this fragile link which binds us together. Thus, he uses a fairly expressive and simple writing, close to scribbling; the optical effect highlighting his sensitivity and the aesthetics of his work. This work questions us about our relationships with others and the very essence of life in the quest for happiness. All of these US with us are contributing and who constituting us. The WE family, that of friends and neighbors ..., the WE of humanity to appear on the Artist's colorful canvases and under the arabesques of the continuous line drawing his characters in scenes of everyday life. Everyone recognizes or remembers this group of noisy and rowdy young people from the neighborhood, of these laughing children in their innocent games and of those reunions of family or friends in the shade of a tree. There is innocence, poetry and a lot of tenderness in the paintings of Tchinan who continues his journey with the smile and optimism that characterize him and that we find in his work.
